KYIV. May 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – July would be the most ideal month for holding a Peace Summit regarding the participation of states in the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula, head of the President’s Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
“Now there is a question of where and when to hold a Peace Summit. Naturally, we want it to be held as early and as soon as possible. We believe that July would be an ideal option,” he said.
According to Yermak, consultations with partners are underway on this issue. He also noted that it is important for Ukraine to participate in the Global South Leaders’ Summit.
“I believe that we are very close to the fact that these consultations will end in success,” the head of the President’s Office said.
Answering the agency’s question, how many countries are expected to participate, Yermak replied: “Many. I think a few dozen for sure.”
“Everyone today accepts the fact that this Summit is needed. Everyone accepts as an absolutely logical and fair argument that the Ukrainian Peace Plan should be the basis: 10 points of President Zelenskyy,” he said.
At the same time, as the head of the President’s Office noted, Ukraine is ready to hear the proposals of all those countries that respect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“It is unconstructive to produce additional plans. Despite the fact that Ukraine says: yes, our plan is the basis, but we are ready to hear all those countries that respect our sovereignty and territorial integrity. We are ready to accept some elements of other proposals,” Yermak summed up.
