Zelensky establishes military administration of occupied Oleshky – decree

KYIV. Jan 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree on the formation of the Oleshky city military administration of Kherson region.

Relevant decree No. 3/2023 of January 2 was published on the website of the head of state.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Kherson Regional State Administration were instructed to implement measures related to the formation of a military administration in accordance with the law on the legal regime of martial law. The Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.

Oleshky has been under Russian occupation since February 24, 2022. The city is located 4 km from the liberated city of Kherson on the opposite bank of the Dnipro River. Communication with Kherson was carried out through the Antonivsky automobile bridge, which is currently destroyed.
