By KYIV. Jan 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Russia can be countered with a new level of modern military equipment that Ukraine can receive from partners, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has said.
"Today I spoke with the leaders of European states about the situation on the battlefield: about the difficult situation in Donetsk region, about the constant Russian assaults and the fact that Russia does not count its people, does not spare the locals and does not stop at any criminal activity. This can be to oppose a new level of modern military equipment that Ukraine can receive from partners," Zelensky said in a video statement.
He thanked all the world leaders who help Ukraine "for understanding that right now the time has come for new powerful decisions."
"The free world has everything it needs to stop Russian aggression and bring a terrorist state to historic defeat. This is important for global democracy – for all who value freedom," he said.
