By KYIV. May 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked The Atlantic Council, whose award "For outstanding leadership" was the Ukrainian people.
"On behalf of all Ukrainians, I thank you for this award. It is right and fair to reward the entire Ukrainian people, because courage is our national character trait. Today the whole world sees this and admires the heroism of the Ukrainians," he said in a video message posted Thursday morning on his Telegram channel.
"At the same time, I want this to not become something ordinary for everyone. For this, one should speak and remember that behind the courage and wisdom of our people there are thousands of real stories, names, feats," he said.
