By KYIV. Nov 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau and the Canadian people for the allocation of CAD 500 million in defense assistance to Ukraine.
"Thank you Justin Trudeau and the Canadian people for CAD 500 million in defense aid to Ukraine. This again proves that Ukraine and Canada are true allies who share common values and have the same goals. We’ll always remember the help provided by the fraternal Canada in the most difficult times. Together we’ll win!" he said on Twitter n Monday.
As reported, on November 14, Trudeau announced a CAD 500 million military aid package for Ukraine, which will be used to purchase surveillance and communications equipment, fuel and medication.
In addition, Canada will impose sanctions on another 23 Russian citizens over human rights violations.
