Zelensky: We're interested in Israeli air defense system, Netanyahu promised to consider this issue

KYIV. Nov 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has said in an interview with Ukrainian journalists that Ukraine is interested in Israeli air defense systems and former Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu promised to consider this issue.

"We have established or resumed contact with ex-Prime Minister Netanyahu. We had a substantive conversation. Our party provided the list of ‘substantive things’. He knows, we have informed him about all nuances related to air defense. This is number one. And he assured me that he will deal with the issue as quickly as it is possible and that he will think what real assistance he can provide and will get back with an answer," Zelensky said.

According to the head of state, Ukraine is not interested in the issue of "special relations" with Russia, as well as offensive or attack weapons, but the only thing it needs are air defense systems that are available in Israel.
