Zelenskyy calls on world to unite, condemn Russian crimes

KYIV. Nov 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On the 90th anniversary of the tragedy of the Holodomor-genocide, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the world to unite and condemn the crimes of the Russian Federation.

“The world must unite and condemn the crimes of the past. The world must unite and stop the present crime. The evil was not stopped, it was not atoned for. Now we are stopping it. Ukraine will survive. Ukraine will not fade away. Ukraine will preserve itself and the truth,” the President said on the Telegram channel.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine, “with deep sadness and respect we honor the memory of millions of our people – millions of victims of the famine.” “They tried to humble us, muzzle us, exterminate us. They failed. They wanted to hide the truth from us and keep silent about terrible crimes. They couldn’t. They wanted to confuse us, deceive us, make us neither believe, nor remember, and therefore forgive. They couldn’t,” he noted.

He thanked the states that officially recognized the Holodomor as a crime against people.
