By KYIV. Sept 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated the Jews of Ukraine and the world on the Rosh Hashanah holiday.
“Shanah Tovah to all Jewish communities in Ukraine and across the world celebrating RoshHashanah today! Let the new year bring a fresh start and hope for a brighter future. May it provide the strength for good to triumph over evil and peace to be restored,” the President said on Twitter.
The Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah) is celebrated this year from September 15 to September 17. The Jews celebrate the beginning of the year 5784 from the Creation of the world.
