By KYIV. Dec 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on his way to the inauguration ceremony of newly elected President of Argentina Javier Milei on December 9, met for the first time with Prime Minister of the Republic of Cape Verde José Ulisses Correia e Silva and thanked him for supporting the Grain from Ukraine initiative.
“On my way to Argentina, I met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Cape Verde. This meeting was the first in the history of bilateral relations between our countries,” the Ukrainian president said on the Telegram channel on Saturday, December 9.
Zelenskyy noted that “the voice of Cape Verde is the voice of democracy, which helps us at the UN, supports resolutions that are very important for Ukraine.”
“I thank Prime Minister José Ulisses Correia e Silva for supporting the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian initiative,” he said.
Zelenskyy also invited the Prime Minister to join the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
