KYIV. Nov 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Providing Ukraine with modern air defense systems will help Ukrainians who have left Ukraine to return home, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes.
“If, for example, seven or eight cities in Ukraine have total air defense for their regions, we will transport our people from different countries home. They will work and pay taxes, and this may not be enough, but basically it will close the financial gap in our budget and we won’t need as much money and financial assistance from the USA and Europe,” he said in an interview with The Sun ezine.
“Children will go to school, because the air defense will protect the entire educational network in Ukraine,” the President added.
According to Zelenskyy, he survived “at least 5-6 assassination attempts.” Currently, he said, Russia is implementing a plan to “change the president.”
“Their operation is called Maidan 3. Maybe it means presidential changeover. Maybe it’s not about murder … They will use any tools they have,” he said.
