MOSCOW. May 12 (Interfax) – Baltic Fleet corvettes have completed an artillery drill in the Baltic Sea, the fleet press service said in a statement.
"An attack force comprising the Sovetsk and Mytishchi corvettes has fired artillery at small- and large-sized targets imitating warships of a mock enemy at a range in the Baltic Sea, consistent with the fleet combat training plan," the press service said.
The ships also fired 76mm and 30mm artillery systems, it said.
"For the exercise period, the marine ranges in the close vicinity of the coastline in the Kaliningrad region were announced as temporarily dangerous for civilian vessels and aircraft. Warships and supply vessels from the Baltic Fleet helped ensure security," the press service said.
