By KYIV. May 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Olena Kondratiuk asked the head of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Ali ghizi Gafarova, to adopt a statement in the parliament on the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children to the Russian Federation.
“Kondratiuk, on behalf of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, appealed to the head of the Milli Majlis with a request to adopt a statement in the Azerbaijani parliament supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and condemning the mass and illegal deportation of Ukrainian children to the Russian Federation,” the press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine reports on the results of the meeting of Kondratiuk with Gafarova.
Kondratiuk is on an official visit to Azerbaijan.
