Govt establishes Ukrainian Youth Foundation

KYIV. March 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers has created the Ukrainian Youth Foundation.

In particular, under decree No. 182 of February 28, the government created the Ukrainian Youth Foundation and approved the regulations on it.

A methodology was also approved for forming a procedure for making payments to experts of the expert councils of the Ukrainian Youth Foundation for conducting a competitive selection of youth projects for the period of the legal regime of martial law in Ukraine and within six months after its termination or cancellation.

In addition, the procedure for providing project support to youth work entities for the implementation of youth projects for the period of martial law was approved.

Establish that for the period of martial law and within six months after its termination, the Ukrainian Youth Foundation provides budget grants at the expense of international technical assistance projects and other sources not prohibited by law, and only the maintenance of the Foundation’s directorate is provided at the expense of the national budget.

In this regard, the Ministry of Youth and Sports was instructed to take the measures necessary to ensure the activities of the Ukrainian Youth Foundation and within a month from the date of entry into force of this resolution, approve the personnel of the Foundation’s Supervisory Board in the prescribed manner.

In addition, it was instructed to develop and submit to the government within six months from the date of termination of martial law drafts of the Procedure for providing institutional support provided to youth and children’s public associations for the implementation of youth projects, and the Procedure for providing project support provided to subjects of youth work on the implementation of youth projects.
