Kuleba: if Germany wants security in Europe, Ukraine should be NATO member

KYIV. May 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stressed that if Germany wants security in Europe, Ukraine must be a member of NATO, which will prevent new wars.

“If Germany wants a secure and prosperous Europe, Ukraine must be a member of NATO. This is the only way. You know, Ukraine’s membership in NATO cannot prevent this war, which is already underway, but it will prevent new wars,” Kuleba said in an interview with Bild.

He noted that Germany’s assistance to Ukraine is very important, since Germany has a “very developed military industry,” in particular, the issue of guns is important.

“Tactically, of course, it’s all about guns, because to win a war you need guns, guns and more guns. Germany has many of them, and much depends on Germany,” the minister added.

In addition, the Foreign Minister stressed that Ukraine needs artillery ammunition, armored vehicles, and anti-aircraft systems.
