KYIV. May 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will speak Tuesday evening at the opening session of the 4th United around our Values Council of Europe Summit, which will begin in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland.
As noted in a message on the website of the European Commission, the speech of the head of Ukraine is scheduled immediately after the opening speech of the Prime Minister of Iceland, Katrín Jakobsdóttir, who visited Kyiv in mid-March and then participated with Zelenskyy in the Nordic-Ukraine summit in Helsinki in early May.
After the President of Ukraine, speeches by French President Emanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen are scheduled, with whom Zelenskyy held talks right on the eve of the summit.
The opening of the summit is scheduled for 20:45 Kyiv time and will be broadcast live.
Earlier it was noted that the summit would present the International Register of Damages Caused by Russia’s Aggression, support the creation of a special international tribunal and a comprehensive international compensation mechanism.
